Christopher Devries, BA

Christopher DeVries, the Center's Financial Coordinator, joined the administrative staff in January 2007 after learning all about the inner workings of University of Michigan sponsored projects in a similar position in the Rheumatology division of the Department of Internal Medicine. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Michigan and has completed additional coursework in accounting and business at Washtenaw Community College. Having worked on construction crews in west Michigan during college and for a short time afterwards, he finds that he prefers the rigors of grants submission and financial management. Chris is a member of the planning committee of the Michigan Chapter of the Society of Research Administrators (SRA) International. He hopes that his involvement with SRA will make his grant-related interactions with CBDSM investigators even more fruitful. When he isn't calculating faculty effort percentages, he likes to travel, go biking, or become engrossed in a crossword puzzle.
