Mick Couper, PhD, MA, MSS

Mick Couper is a Research Professor in the Survey Research Center, Institute for Social Research, at the University of Michigan, and in the Joint Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland. He holds a masters in social science from the University of Cape Town, an MA in applied social research from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Sociology from Rhodes University, South Africa.
Mick's research focuses on methods for improving surveys, in particular issues relating to non-response and the use of technology for survey data collection. Currently he’s working on the design and implementation of instruments for data collection via the Internet. Mick's personal interests include travel (especially involving trains) and digital photography.
