Stephanie Brown, PhD

Stephanie Brown is a social psychologist who received her PhD from Arizona State University in 1999. Her research utilizes a bio-altruistic framework to examine the biology of close relationships and the implications for physical health and mental illness. Currently, she is interested in the hormonal mediators of helping-induced health benefits, as well as the interplay between psychological perceptions of burden and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Outside interests include playing guitar, singing, and playing sports, but do not include tea-drinking.
