Post Doctoral Program

The Center for Behavioral and Decision Sciences in Medicine (CBDSM), a multidisciplinary research team sponsored by the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration and the University of Michigan Medical School, is accepting applications for postdoctoral fellowship positions. The CBDSM mission is to understand and improve the health care decisions made by both patients and providers, and to explore the relevant implications for health care policy. We are interested in candidates whose research interests in health care decisions and policy is approached using theories from social cognition, motivation and emotion, risk communication, ethics, and/or economics. The successful candidate will be encouraged to conduct independent research with an emphasis on study inception, manuscript writing, and applying for grants. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and education. CBDSM resources and collaborative support will enable the candidate to build his/her own research program.


We are accepting applications for the academic year 2008-2009. Deadline for the recipts of all materials is March 1, 2008.
